Teaching an Appreciation of Nature

All of us here at the SeaWorld/Busch Gardens education department are delighted that you stopped by our VPW PartnerPageSM.

At SeaWorld and Busch GardensTM we strive to provide an enthusiastic, imaginative and intellectually stimulating environment to help students understand and appreciate the world around them.

Specifically our goals are:

  • To instill in students of all ages an appreciation for science and a respect for all living creatures and natural environments;
  • To conserve our valuable natural resources by increasing awareness of the interrelationships of humans and the marine environment;
  • To increase students' basic competencies in science and other disciplines;
  • To provide an educational resource for the entire community.

To meet these goals, SeaWorld and Busch Gardens offer a number of educational resources, including free Shamu TV educational programs for teachers, national contests such as the SeaWorld/Busch Gardens Environmental Excellence Awards, teacher curriculum guides, and adventure and learning camps at both SeaWorld and Busch Garden sites around the country.
