We view the video, Rabies, at the end of our studies on disease transmission and prevention. Then the students are asked to produce a brochure explaining rabies to a wider audience. They need to explain how the disease is transmitted to humans, how it is treated, describe prevention strategies, along with some information about what rabies does at the cellular level.

I look to see if the student understands a whole range of knowledge about cells, disease, different animal habitats and behavior, and how vaccines work. The Rabies video really added excellent information to an existing health curriculum.
